In partnership with Dallas Legacy Mission, the Hispanic Organization for Genealogy and Research (HOGAR) and The Last Patrol presents an opportunity to high school seniors in Dallas County by offering a scholarship program to help fund students who dream of pursuing a higher education.
HOGAR de Dallas was founded in 1998 for the purpose of stimulating interest in Hispanic genealogy, assisting in the research of Hispanic lineages, promoting an understanding of Hispanic heritage within the community, and supporting the genealogy section of the J. Erik Jonsson Public Library in Dallas and other libraries as deemed necessary.
Our vision is to stimulate interest in our Hispanic youth and within the community in Hispanic genealogy and our heritage by providing research and publication of genealogical data through networking, educational programs, special events, and newsletters. The Scholarship Program is part of our organization's sincere desire to help qualified candidates reach their personal goals.

The nonprofit provides at-risk youth with volunteer activities and extracurricular activities that develop civic responsibility, good character, sportsmanship, and artistic appreciation and encourage a focus on education, self-improvement, and empowerment.
Dallas Legacy Mission (DLM) and The Last Patrol share a commitment to uplifting youth in West Dallas and Oak Cliff.
